Holsworthy High School adopts a holistic approach to education to maximise the academic, social and creative potential of every student. Values such as persistence, excellence, inclusion and kindness underpin staff to student and student to student interaction. A variety of quality teaching and learning ensures students are provided with support that assists with students to developing as a whole.
The Targeted Sports Program creates opportunities for students who have demonstrated a potential to perform in a physical setting however have displayed restricted access due to financial, emotional and pyschological restraints.
Improvement measures include:
• 5% improvement in school based engagement.
• Enhancement of positive self-image and acceptance amongst peers. A strong sense of belonging.
• Offering of more sports in Years 9 and 10 2016. Positive student engagement from identified students.
• Enhancement of student participation in sporting competitions.
