During the recent renovations at Sporties, we replaced the furniture in our dining room, main lounge, and Auditorium.
Most of these items were still in good condition and we didn’t want to send them to landfill, so we reached out to a few of our community partners to see if they would like to make use of them.
Georges River Life Care is a community organisation providing support to victims of family violence, people needing emergency relief, and children and adults living with disability.
They jumped at the chance to take our pre-loved dining tables and chairs for their Life Centre, where community members meet every week.
ReLove – which helps women and children who have fled family and domestic violence situations to set up a new home, also took some items to support their clients.
We are thrilled that our furniture gets a second chance at life with some very worthy causes!
