On Monday 7 September, Moorebank Sports Club was proud to host our annual ClubGRANTS presentation evening, celebrating the local organisations, sporting clubs and community groups making a meaningful difference across our community.
This year marked a significant milestone, with Moorebank Sports Club committing its largest-ever ClubGRANTS contribution, with $377,481 being returned to the community through Category 1 and Category 2 funding.
For Sporties, ClubGRANTS is about much more than providing financial support. It is about investing in the people, organisations and initiatives that help strengthen our community, create opportunities and make a real difference in the lives of others.
Among the recipients recognised on the evening were Georges River Life Care, Heroes With Ability, Miracle Babies, Gotcha4Life, The Fair Fight Foundation and its Supertee Program, NSW Wheelchair Rugby League, and the new Liverpool Women’s Shelter.
Sporties also continued its strong commitment to local grassroots sport, supporting Moorebank Rams Rugby League, Moorebank Soccer Club, Moorebank Cricket Club, Moorebank Netball and Moorebank Royals Baseball Club.
The evening brought together Liverpool City Council representatives, Sporties Board members and management, ClubGRANTS recipients, industry group leaders, corporate partners and community organisations, providing an opportunity to celebrate the incredible work being delivered throughout our local community.
A special thank you to Bob Fleeton Scholarship recipient Lucas, who, together with his friend Charlotte, generously gave up their time to provide the evening’s musical entertainment. It was wonderful to see Lucas showcase his talents and share his passion for music with our guests.
We would also like to thank Emma Duxbury for MCing the event and helping guide us through the evening.
We thank everyone who attended and, most importantly, the organisations and volunteers who continue to dedicate their time and energy to supporting others.
Giving back is at the heart of who we are at Sporties. As a Club, we are proud to play our part in being the cornerstone of the community and look forward to seeing the positive impact of this year’s investment in the months and years ahead.
