On Saturday 19 September, Sporties was proud to once again sponsor the annual Care for a Walk? event, hosted by Georges River Life Care (GRLC).
The event raised funds to support GRLC’s work across our local community, including the newly opened Moorebank Hub. The Hub provides a range of services and support to residents across Moorebank, Hammondville, Holsworthy, Wattle Grove, Chipping Norton, Liverpool and surrounding suburbs.
Our staff were proud to get involved throughout the day, with numerous team members volunteering their time to help make the event a success. Staff participated in the 5km walk, assisted with event set-up, cooked the BBQ, and put their creative talents to work with face painting. Sporties also contributed a number of prizes to support the fundraising efforts.
The event offered plenty of family-friendly activities beyond the walk itself, including a petting zoo, inflatable obstacle course, face painting, games and activities for children. It was a wonderful opportunity for the local community to come together, have some fun and support an important cause.
The day was also a great reflection of the significant work GRLC undertakes to support and strengthen our local community. Sporties is proud to support this work and contribute to initiatives that align with our commitment to being the cornerstone of the community.
