On Monday 11 November, Sporties was thrilled to support the annual Heroes With Ability Schools Gala Day which was held at the Michael Clarke Recreation Centre in Carnes Hill.
This event brought students together from select schools in the area to compete for the HWA Schools Varying Abilities Shield.
In addition, they were also competing for the inaugural Geoff Robinson Varying Abilities Shield, which was sponsored by Sporties, in memory of Geoff who sadly lost his battle with cancer earlier this year.
A dozen Sporties team members volunteered to help run various activities on the day, before presenting all attendees with some participation memorabilia.
We are incredibly proud to be involved in this initiative for the second year running and will continue to support the wonderful work HWA does for our community.
