Sporties is turning Purple!

This May, Moorebank Sports Club is turning purple!

Our Club is committed to safe, respectful communities.

We are proud to support Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Month with a dedicated, month-long campaign focused on raising awareness, starting conversations, and showing support for those impacted.

At Moorebank Sports Club, we want everyone affected by domestic and family violence to know — you are not alone.

Throughout the month, we will be running a range of initiatives, including:

Friday 8 May – Purple Friday
We are proudly supporting Purple Friday – Clubs Say No to Domestic Violence. As part of Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Month, we will be joining over 200 clubs across NSW as our club turns purple for the day. Together with our staff, we will raise awareness and help create safer communities.

Our Club and staff will be dressed in purple and if you’re heading to the Club on this day, we welcome you joining in to show your support. We have also created a Purple Cocktail for the day with
$5 from every cocktail sold donated to the newly formed Liverpool Women’s Shelter.

Launch of Our DV Action Plan
We are pleased to officially launch our Club’s Domestic Violence Action Plan, further outlining our commitment to empowering safe communities and taking a stand against violence.
A dedicated section is now available on our website, providing access to a range of resources and information.

Community Collection Drive
We will be collecting women’s and children’s personal hygiene and sanitary products throughout the month, to be donated to our charity partners Georges River Life Care and Liverpool Women’s Shelter.
Further details on how to contribute will be available shortly

Escabags Support
We are a supplier of Escabags for women escaping domestic violence. If you are in need of one, please visit the Club and a friendly member of our team can assist you.

Staff Awareness & Training
We have rolled out an awareness campaign for our employees and leadership team, with all staff to participate in formal training later in the year.

Join us this May as we stand together, raise awareness, and support change.

You’re not alone.
