Sporties believes everyone deserves to feel special at Christmas.
Recently, we were contacted by Kylie Stewart, Occupational Therapy Head of Department for South West Sydney Mental Health Services, who was trying to raise awareness about the plight of patients staying in the Mental Health Unit over the Christmas period.
Kylie had requested funds to purchase a gift for each of them to open on Christmas Day, to help them feel special and supported.
Sporties decided to take on gift-purchasing duties themselves and put hampers together for each of the patients, including self-care items, craft activities, socks, puzzles, games, and Christmas treats.
We wrapped everything festively, ready for collection.
