On Saturday 7 October, several Sporties team members grabbed some tongs, donned their aprons, and spent the day at Bunnings Crossroads in Casula, to support the Rotary BBQ raising funds for the Miracle Babies Foundation.
Miracle Babies is Australia’s leading organisation supporting premature and sick newborns, their families, and the hospitals that care for them. It’s a cause that’s very close to our hearts too, as we support their NurtureTime program at Liverpool Hospital through ClubGRANTS.
To help Rotary and Miracle Babies raise additional funds, the Sporties team volunteered to man the BBQ, serving the famous Bunnings snag to shoppers. They exceeded expectations on the day, running out of sausages and bread – twice!
