From 16-22 October, Sporties supported the state government’s annual GambleAware Week initiative which shines a light on problem gambling and associated harms within the NSW community.
The week aims to raise awareness about the risks of gambling, empower gamblers to recognise when they are at risk, and equip them with the right support to maintain control over their gambling habits.
Sporties utilised the OK2PLAY? Responsible Gambling Technology to check in with members and guests to ensure they felt comfortable and in control whilst inside our venue.
Over the course of GambleAware Week, Sporties checked in with 1,563 patrons and offered them assistance and support in a timely and discreet manner.
The main goal of the 0K2PLAY? System is to encourage meaningful human connections and ensure everyone within our venue has the support and knowledge they need to make informed decisions about their gambling habits.
