Sporties is proud to support the Georges River Life Care (GRLC) backpack initiative for another year, packing school bags full of classroom and playground essentials for disadvantaged kids in our area.
Our team packed over 100 backpacks with donations from the community, our members, and staff. These are being delivered to local primary and high schools, ready for the start of the 2025 school year.
Special thanks to Kelli Hill and her daughter Aimee (pictured) who donated $400 worth of items, and to Holsworthy Public School and Hammondville Public School for their contributions.
In addition to the backpacks, the Sporties team joined GRLC for their Christmas Connect event on Sunday 22 December, volunteering their time to provide face painting and balloon-making for the kids, and donating food items.
Sporties caterers On Point Catering also contributed to this event with some delicious food!
Attendees at the Christmas Connect day receive a hamper full of festive goodies to support them, and their families, during the holidays.
