Moorebank Sports Club proudly hosted the inaugural Future Focus Careers Fair in the Club Auditorium, an exciting new event designed to inspire, connect, and guide our local young people as they begin exploring their career journeys.
We welcomed students from Holsworthy High School and Moorebank High School during the school day, followed by an afternoon session open to parents, students, and community members from across the local area.
The Future Focus Fair brought together a wide range of employers, training providers, government agencies, and industry professionals, giving attendees the unique opportunity to speak directly with people already working in the fields they are curious about. From apprenticeships and trades to higher education and community services, Future Focus showcased pathways for every interest and ambition.
The Club Auditorium was alive with conversation and connection, as stallholders generously shared their knowledge and opportunities. A big thank you to all stallholders who participated and helped make the event such a success.
We were also honored to have State Member for Holsworthy, Tina Ayyad, in attendance, she visited all the stallholders and had some great interactions with local students and school leaders. We appreciate her support of our event and this important initiative.
A special shoutout goes to Hennessy Coffee, who kept everyone fueled throughout the day and worked with Holsworthy High School’s Hospitality students, offering them barista training tips and tricks as part of the event.

Overall stallholders reported a positive experience, highlighting the value of connecting directly with their potential future employees, trainees, and students. With such a broad mix of industries, education providers, and community services on show, the fair offered genuine opportunities for meaningful career conversations.
The success of this first Future Focus Careers Fair is a testament to what can be achieved when schools, employers, families, and community partners come together to support our next generation.
