Earlier this week, we had the privilege of welcoming Cheryl Macnaught, Chair of the Liverpool Women’s Shelter to our venue on behalf of our dedicated Sporties Knitting Group.
Our knitters have been working tirelessly over recent months to create beautiful handmade items for families entering the shelter. These gifts, crafted with care, comfort, and compassion were presented to Cheryl during her visit as a gesture of support for women and children beginning a new chapter.
Cheryl shared the shelter’s inspiring new journey and the important work being done to provide safety, dignity, and hope for local families in need. It was a heartfelt moment for everyone involved, and a powerful reminder of how small acts of kindness can make a big difference.
“This Knitting Group continues to demonstrate what community spirit looks like one stitch at a time. Their actions make a positive and meaningful difference in our local community,” said Community Manager, Alison Hester.
We’re incredibly proud of their ongoing generosity and the impact they create across the Liverpool area”
