Moorebank Sports Club was proud to support the incredible students of HOLSWORTHY HIGH SCHOOL who took on Australia’s toughest team endurance event,The Kokoda Challenge recently.
The Clubs sponsorship allowed the team to purchase essential trekking gear, including specialised shoes and camelbacks, and helped kickstart their fundraising efforts. Watching these young leaders gear up with confidence and determination has been truly inspiring.
Last week, Sporties was honoured to be invited to the school’s Remembrance Day ceremony. Following the service, our Community Manager Alison Hester and Board Member Ken Coleman attended a luncheon where the students shared stories from their Kokoda training and expressed their gratitude for the Club’s support.
Hearing firsthand how this experience is shaping their resilience and teamwork was a powerful reminder of why community partnerships matter.
