Moorebank Sports Club was buzzing on Monday 8th September as more than 80 guests gathered for Sporties’ largest ever ClubGRANTS Presentation Cocktail Event, with a record-breaking $336,810 distributed to local community groups and sporting codes through the Clubs Category One and Category Two contributions.
The evening brought together an impressive line-up of attendees, including federal and state ministers, local councillors, industry representatives, corporate partners, the Sporties Board and Senior Leadership Team, along with the most important guests of all – the grant recipients.
The event was a chance to not only present vital funding, but also to reflect on Sporties’ milestones over the past 12 months and celebrate the impact that community organisations and sporting codes make across our local community. Guests enjoyed an evening of networking, storytelling, and shared recognition of the contribution these groups bring to the local community.
A special thanks to Emma Duxbury , who did a wonderful job as MC, helping guide the evening’s program with warmth and energy.
The $336,810 in grants will help empower local sporting clubs and community organisations to continue their essential work – building stronger connections, providing opportunities, and enhancing community wellbeing and sport.
This event wasn’t just about the funding, it’s about celebrating and partnering with the people and groups who give so much to our community.
It was truly a night of celebration, gratitude, and shared vision for the future.
We look forward to seeing these projects come to life over the next few months.
